DoctorInsole vs Alternatives

Comparing DoctorInsole with custom orthotics and over the counter insoles.

The world of orthotics typically fell on either side of the insole spectrum: a cheap, temporary solution for today’s pain, or an out- of-reach, expensive custom orthotic. As doctors, we knew we could do better. Our insoles meet in the middle, providing the quality and correction of a custom orthotic at a fraction of the cost.

Don’t just take our word for it...

Here's what some of our other users think about the amazing benefits of DoctorInsole.

Meet Nadia Ruiz

122 Marathons, 11 Ultras and 4 Ironmans. Competing over the past 17 years, Nadia is the youngest Latina in the world to attain these accolades.

Nadia doesn't have a typical marathoner's build, so when she would increase her mileage and train for 50 milers, she used to develop Plantar Fasciitis, where the arch pain was unbearable.

She started using DoctorInsole during cross-training to gradually help the arch pain diminish. She now wears them throughout her days so that she can be in tip top condition for training and racing.

Frequently Asked Questions

You'll find below a list of answers to commonly asked questions about DoctorInsole. Can't find the answer that you're looking for? Feel free to contact us.

What is the difference between the Men's and Women's FitStep™?

The Men's and Women's FitStep both offer cushioning and support; however, the level of cushioning and support varies amongst the two. The Men's FitStep is a slightly thinner, lower profile product with moderate cushioning, and a heel cup that is dropped low enough to support a healthy curvature in the lumbar spine. The Women's FitStep is constructed the same, but features additional cushioning for increased shock-absorption and is ideal for alleviating pain associated with most common foot conditions..

How do I use DoctorInsole orthotic insoles?

Use DoctorInsole orthotics as needed for support, correction and pain relief. If you are not accustomed to wearing orthotic insoles, it may be necessary to "break them in." Wear your orthotic insoles for up to one hour the first day, two hours the second day, three hours the third day, etc. You may wear them more if comfortable. Do not be alarmed if you experience slight discomfort when first wearing this device. You may experience this in the feet, ankles, knee, legs, hips and/or lower back. This is an indication that they are working and your body simply needs time to adjust to the correction.

How do I know if my foot health is improving?

You will be able to feel a difference in your feet, legs and back after just a couple of days. If any pain persists, please contact your physician.

Can my DoctorInsoles be transferred from shoe to shoe? ?

We suggest initially keeping the orthotic insole in the original shoe while it conforms to your foot. If you choose to transfer it to another shoe, we suggest it be a similar style of shoe (for instance, if you’re using the FitStep in a sneaker, transfer it to another type of sneaker or running shoe). It is also extremely important to remove all removable arch supports, gel pads and other inserts inside the shoe before putting in your DoctorInsoles . To maintain complete function and product life of the orthotic insoles, we suggest having a pair of DoctorInsoles for each pair of your shoes.
